The legendary queer right organizer Marsha P. Johnson said that one person never completely has their rights until all people have their rights. For allies of Black and Southeast Asian women, queer folx and youth, that means that protecting them ultimately protects everyone.
Freedom Action Now is grounded in radical queer Black and Southeast Asian feminism. But our role is not the lead movements that already have leaders, it is to mobils alllies from every background to support the grassroots organizations already doing the work. We follow the political leadership of working class Black, Southeast Asian, and other women and queer people of color. Their struggle is our compass, so we show up, bring resources, and move when they say move.

If Black women were free, it would mean that everyone else would have to be free since our freedom necessitates the destruction of all the systems of oppression.
I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own.
Strong people do not need strong leaders.
Prisons do not disappear problems, they disappear human beings.
It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win. We must love each other and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains.
You can pray until you faint, but if you don't get up and try to do something, God is not going to put it in your lap.
Freedom is a place. It's not like a destination, it's the place that we make.
The first act of violence that patriarchy demands of males is not violence toward women... [it] demands males engage in acts of psychic self-mutilation, that they kill off the emotional parts of themselves.
We are not fighting for the freedom of the Negro alone, but for the freedom of the human spirit, a larger freedom that encompasses all mankind.
You never completely have your rights, one person, until you all have your rights.
